Lauren is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Her diverse background includes work in psychology, addictions, and mental health, which has provided her with a unique understanding of the deep connection between mental and physical health. She incorporates a variety of training modalities in her approach, including hypertrophy training, HIIT, and functional training, tailored to help individuals achieve their fitness goals.

Lauren’s focus is on creating well-rounded fitness programs that enhance movement in all planes of motion, improve cardiovascular output, and build and maintain muscle to support long-term health and metabolism, especially as we age. She believes fitness should support not just physical strength but overall well-being, and strives to help her clients experience the full benefits of a balanced training routine.

About the Trainer

Originally from South Africa, Lauren moved to Vancouver in 2008 and has made it her home ever since. She is a proud mom to a 6-year-old son, and her journey into fitness began long before motherhood. However, it was becoming a mother that ultimately became the catalyst for her career change. Lauren’s personal experiences and her work in mental health deeply shaped her belief that mental and physical strength are interwoven, and she strives to bring that holistic approach to her training.

Lauren’s training philosophy centers around the idea that fitness is not just about aesthetics but about empowering individuals to feel stronger, more capable, and more confident in their everyday lives. Whether through weight training, HIIT, or functional exercises, she is dedicated to helping clients feel their best and achieve lasting results.
