Jan Betsayda
personal trainer, registered massage therapist
Jan completed the registered massage therapy program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in December 2020. His passion for athletics and growing interest in human anatomy led him to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry. He has been a fitness trainer for 7 years and has extended his profession into becoming a licensed RMT.
Having worked with various types of athletes, he has a strong belief that all those who require movement of their body are considered an athlete in their own respective ways.
His experience working with athletes and the general population helped him understand the importance of helping them improve their ranges of motion to achieve positions that are required for their specific demands of sport and life. One of his goals is to continue to help clients develop spatial and proprioceptive awareness to help further stabilize the body in these newfound positions.
His philosophy involves viewing and treating the body as a whole. Jan’s approach towards manual therapeutic treatments is what he feels can build a strong foundation, progression in posture, kinematics, and biomechanics in his patients.
What makes Jan unique is that he views a patient’s pain as a symptom and not the root cause in many cases. He enjoys a challenge when it comes to pursuing these answers. In his treatments, he incorporates a variety of techniques and modalities including soft tissue approximation, trigger point release techniques, myofascial release techniques, PNF stretching, joint mobilizations, muscle activation, and active release.
Jan has had 15 years of experience playing and coaching basketball, 5 years of playing football, and continues to enjoy being highly active in the gym, hiking, and paddle boarding. With his background in sports, Jan’s physical and psychological factors of his transformation are what inspired him to be the therapist he is today. His personal goal is to inspire and help others to achieve their goals and find their own strength in any movement.
He has competed in powerlifting for four years working up to be a National level competitive lifter in the 93kg weight class, and recently placing 1st place in the 105kg division at the 2020 UBC Powerlifting Championships totaling nearly 1500lbs in all three respective lifts.
Jan’s results-focused massage techniques treat overuse injuries, sports injuries, nerve injuries, movement restrictions, underactive muscle groups, shoulder, foot/ankle, knee, and hip injuries.

Megan Redpath
Personal Trainer, Kinesiologist
Megan has a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology from UBC Okanagan; she is a Kinesiologist through BCAK, a Personal Trainer through CSEP-CPT, and is Certified with FMS1 (Functional Movement Systems).
Megan grew up in a small town playing sports 6 days a week. The repetitiveness of sport without proper functional training brewed a lot of issues through her prime developmental years. As she got older, Megan realized the importance of proper functional movement patterns, cross training, properly fueling her body and being kind to herself during the process. She went to UBCO and received a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology following a deep passion for human anatomy and proper movement. This later led to Movement108 in Vancouver around 2019. Grinding through the Vancouver hustle while meeting clients and community members pushed Megan outside of her comfort zone, allowed her to take on new challenges, and continuously learn smart movement modalities.
Megan is a firm believer of functional training for your body and mind to lead a better overall life that will carry you through anything! Whether you’re chasing the sunrise, performing your favorite activity, or getting outside with your family & friends, she hopes to create the option for you to do so enjoyably and pain free through functional training. She specializes in functional rehab and strength training, following her belief of developing a habit of functional movement training so you can do whatever it is you’re passionate about outside of the “gym”… forever!
Megan is passionate about helping people move and feel better and hopes to impact people’s lives for the better whether that’s influencing their physical or mental health! She feels happiest when surrounded by nature, camping and hiking in the trees – in saying that, she loves strength training that complements her favorite activities, like hiking and running to stay injury free!
